Why RJ Mould for Plastic Cap Injection Molding?
We understand that the mould quality is the top concerns for all customers. Keeping that view in mind, our team focus on every steps from mould design, making and delivery.
Our factory always adopst high strength steel material to make bottle cap mold. The hardness of steel is generally more than HRC45. We use high-speed CNC machining center to process molds and carry out standardized operations, to ensure the accuracy of the parts of each bottle cap mold and achieve the interchangeability of each part.
During the mould manufacturing poried, we will report and update the mould status every wekk to customers. And we have a reputation for always meeting deadlines and dlivering mould on time.

Injection Mold Making Steps
The basic steps involved in making an injection mold:
1. Design and Engineering:
The first step in making an injection mold is to create a detailed design based on the specifications of the desired part or product. This design phase typically involves CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, where engineers develop a 3D model of the mold incorporating all necessary features, dimensions, and specifications.
2. Material Selection:
Once the design is finalized, the next step is to select the appropriate material for the mold. Common materials for injection molds include steel, aluminum, and pre-hardened steel. The choice of material depends on factors such as the expected production volume, desired mold lifespan, and budget considerations.
3. CNC Machining or Tooling:
After material selection, the mold design is translated into physical form through CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining or tooling processes. CNC machining involves using computer-controlled machinery to precisely cut and shape the mold components according to the design specifications. Skilled machinists operate the CNC machines to ensure accuracy and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.
4. Mold Assembly:
Once all individual components of the mold are machined, they are carefully assembled to create the complete mold structure. This assembly process involves fitting together the core, cavity, ejector pins, cooling channels, and other necessary components according to the mold design. The assembly must be done with precision to ensure proper alignment and functionality of the mold.
5. Polishing and Surface Finishing:
After assembly, the mold surfaces are polished and finished to achieve the desired surface texture and quality. This step involves using abrasive materials and polishing techniques to remove any imperfections or rough spots on the mold surfaces. Surface finishing is crucial for ensuring smooth injection of molten material and producing high-quality finished parts.
6. Testing and Quality Assurance:
Once the mold is assembled and finished, it undergoes rigorous testing and quality assurance processes to ensure its functionality and performance. This may include conducting trial runs with test materials to verify mold integrity, dimensional accuracy, and part quality. Any issues or defects identified during testing are addressed and corrected before final approval.
7. Production:
Once the mold passes all quality checks and testing, it is ready for production. The mold is installed into an injection molding machine, where molten material (such as plastic resin) is injected into the mold cavity under high pressure. After cooling and solidification, the mold opens, and the finished parts are ejected, ready for further processing or assembly.
8. Maintenance and Optimization:
Regular maintenance and optimization of the injection mold are essential for ensuring its longevity and performance over time. This may involve cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting the mold components, as well as making any necessary adjustments or repairs to maintain optimal functionality.
Overall, making an injection mold requires careful planning, precision machining, quality assembly, and thorough testing to create a reliable and high-performing tool for producing plastic parts efficiently and accurately. Collaboration between design engineers, machinists, and moldmakers is essential throughout the process to ensure successful outcomes.
